AngkorFeed General Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") apply to all users (hereinafter referred to as "Customers") who use the AngkorFeed service (collectively referred to as "Company Service") provided by Union Mobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company").


AngkorFeed is a social media service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") within AngkorLife.


AngkorFeed Service

The Company agrees to provide you with the AngkorFeed Service, which includes AngkorFeed products, features, apps, services, and software. AngkorFeed is committed to creating opportunities for customers to connect more closely with the people they love. The Service consists of the following components:

  • Provides personalized opportunities for creation, connection, communication, discovery, and sharing.

    People are diverse. Therefore, the Company offers various types of accounts (general/business/creator, etc.) and features to help customers create, share, increase visibility, and communicate with others within and outside AngkorFeed. The Company also wants to strengthen relationships by sharing experiences that customers are genuinely interested in. Therefore, we build systems to understand people and matters of interest to you and others, and use this information to help you create, discover, participate in, and share significant experiences. As part of this, we suggest ways to experience AngkorFeed and show content, features, benefits, and accounts that might interest you based on your activities within and outside AngkorFeed.

  • Creates a positive, inclusive, and safe environment.

    The Company develops and uses tools, and provides resources, to make customers' experiences positive and extensive, including situations where the Company believes community customers need help. The Company also has teams and systems to prevent abuse and violation of our terms and policies and harmful and fraudulent activities. We use all information (including yours) that we have to maintain the security of our platform and may share information about misuse or harmful content with other group companies (subsidiaries or affiliates of the Company) or law enforcement agencies. Details are available in our Privacy Policy.


  • Develops and uses technologies that help provide continuous services to our growing community.

    Organizing and analyzing information is central to our services for our growing community. A significant part of our service is developing and using advanced technologies that help customize, protect, and improve our services on a vast scale for a broad community. Technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning allow us to apply complex processes across our services. Automation also contributes to the functionality and integrity of our services.


  • Provides consistent and seamless experiences across our products.

    AngkorFeed, as a product included in AngkorLife, shares technology, systems, insights, and information with Union Mobile to offer superior, secure, and enhanced services. This information includes information we have about you, and you can learn more in our Privacy Policy. We also provide ways for you to interact with various Union Mobile products and design systems that ensure you have a consistent and seamless experience across all Union Mobile products.


  • Connects you and brands, products, and services in ways you find interesting.

    We use information from AngkorFeed and other Union Mobile products, as well as information from third parties, to show you advertisements, offers, and other promotional content we think are meaningful to you. We strive to make this content as relevant as your other experiences on AngkorFeed.


  • Research and Innovation.

    We use the information we have to research our services and collaborate with others to improve our services and contribute to the welfare of our community through research.


AngkorFeed Service Advertisement

By using the services to which these Terms apply, without paying a usage fee for AngkorFeed, you acknowledge that you may see advertisements paid for by businesses and organizations for promotion, both inside and outside of Union Mobile products. The Company uses your personal information, including information about your activities and interests, to show you advertisements that are relevant to you.


The Company exposes you to relevant and useful advertisements without disclosing your identity to advertisers. We do not sell your personal information. We allow advertisers to inform us of their business goals, target audience types, etc. We then display their advertisements to people who might be interested. We also provide advertisers with performance reports on how people interact with their content both inside and outside AngkorFeed. For example, to help advertisers better understand their target, we may provide them with general demographic and interest information. We do not share information that can directly identify you (such as your name or email address that can be used to contact you or identify you) unless you specifically permit it.

Branded content posted by account owners who promote products or services based on commercial relationships with business partners mentioned in the content may be displayed on AngkorFeed.


Personal Information Processing Policy

To provide AngkorFeed services, we need to collect and use your information. Our Personal Information Processing Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information across various Union Mobile products. It also explains various ways you can manage your information, including AngkorFeed privacy and security settings. To use AngkorFeed, you must agree to the Personal Information Processing Policy.


  • Blocking or unblocking someone on AngkorFeed:

  1. Go to the profile screen of the user in question.

  2. Select the kebab menu (...) in the top right corner.

  3. Choose Block/Unblock.

Note: Blocked users cannot access your posts, stories, or profile screen. This also applies if they receive a URL that allows access to your posting or story from a third party. Blocked users cannot send chat messages or calls to you.


Things You Must Adhere To

In line with our commitment to providing the service, you must be aware of and adhere to the following:

1.    Who can use AngkorFeed:

While we want AngkorFeed to be an open and inclusive service, we also want it to be safe, secure, and law-abiding. Therefore, there are some restrictions you must adhere to if you wish to be part of the AngkorFeed community.

  • You must be at least 12 years old.

  • You must not be a person prohibited from receiving the AngkorFeed service under any applicable laws or be on any related sanctions list.

  • You must not have had an account previously deactivated by us for legal reasons or violations of AngkorFeed policies.

  • You must not be a convicted sex offender.


2.    Cases where you cannot use AngkorFeed:

  • Impersonating others or providing inaccurate information - While you do not need to disclose your identity on AngkorFeed, you must provide us with accurate and up-to-date information (including registration information) and may need to provide personal information. You must not impersonate someone else or an organization, and you cannot create an account in someone else's name without their explicit permission.


  • No illegal, misleading, fraudulent, or unauthorized activities - You must not engage in any illegal, misleading, fraudulent, or unauthorized activities, especially not violate these Terms or our policies, including AngkorFeed community guidelines and media guidelines. If you post branded content, you must comply with our branded content policy.


  • No interference with the normal operation of the service - You must not interfere with or hinder the normal operation of the service. This includes misuse of reporting, dispute, or inventory request channels, such as fraudulent or baseless reports or requests.


  • No unauthorized account creation or information gathering - You must not create accounts or collect information in unauthorized ways, including creating accounts or collecting information automatically without our explicit permission.


  • No selling, licensing, or purchasing accounts or information - You must not sell, license, or purchase accounts or information obtained through our service or us. This includes buying, selling, or transferring part (including screen names) or all of a customer's account, requesting, collecting, or using login information of other users, badges, or requesting or collecting AngkorFeed screen names, passwords, inappropriate access tokens.


  • No posting of private or confidential information of others without permission and no infringement of others' rights - You must not post others' private or confidential information without permission and must not infringe on others' rights, including intellectual property rights (such as copyright infringement, trademark infringement, counterfeiting, illegal reproductions). You may use others' copyrighted works in accordance with copyright law and related rights exceptions or limitations. You declare that you own or have obtained all rights to post or share content. You can report content that you believe infringes on your intellectual property rights.


    • Intellectual Property Rights Information: AngkorFeed strives to help all individuals and organizations protect their intellectual property rights. We do not allow the posting of content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights.


    • Copyright: Copyright is a legal right to protect original works such as books, music, films, and art. Generally, copyright protects original expressions of language or images. Facts and ideas themselves are not protected, but original words or images expressing an idea can be. Also, names, titles, slogans, etc., not protected by copyright may be protected through another legal right, trademark rights.


    • Trademark: A trademark is a word, slogan, symbol, design (such as a brand name, logo) that differentiates a person, group, or company's products or services. Trademark law generally aims to protect consumers from being confused about the provider or affiliate of a product or service. Laws vary by country, so AngkorFeed cannot provide legal advice. For questions about trademark rights, consult a lawyer.


  • You must not modify or transform our products or their components, nor create derivative works or reverse engineer them.


  • You must not use a domain name or URL in your screen name without our prior written consent.


Rights Granted to the Company by You

As part of this agreement, you also grant the Company the necessary rights to provide you with services.

  • Although we do not claim ownership of your content, you grant us a license to use your content. Your rights to your content remain unchanged. We do not claim ownership of the content you post on or through the service, and you are free to share it with others anywhere. However, to provide the service, we need certain legal rights ('license') from you. When you share, post, or upload content that is protected by intellectual property rights (like photos or videos) on or in connection with our service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable, and worldwide license to host, use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly perform or display, translate, and create derivative works of your content (consistent with your privacy and application settings). This license is for the purpose of operating and providing the service to you and other users. You have the option to delete your content individually. If you leave the service without deleting all of your content, you can later request a mass deletion of your content by submitting identity verification documents through our customer service center.


  • You grant us the right to use information related to your screen name, profile picture, and information about your relationship and actions with your account, advertisements, and promotional content. You grant us the right to display your screen name, profile picture, and information about your activities (like 'Likes') or relationships (like 'Friends') along with or in connection with accounts, ads, offers, and other promotional content that are displayed across Union Mobile products, free of charge. For example, we may display that you liked a promotional post by a brand that advertises on AngkorFeed. Just like actions and friends(=follows) on other content, your actions and friend(=follows) on promotional content will only be visible to those who have permission to see that content. We also respect your ad settings. You can find out how to set up unwanted ads below.


  • Hide Ads: To hide an unwanted ad, follow these steps:

  1. Press the kebab menu (...) in the top right corner of the promotional post.

  2. Click 'Not interested in this ad'.


  • Report Ads: To report an ad that you find inappropriate or misleading, follow these steps:

  1. Press the kebab menu (...) in the top right corner of the promotional post.

  2. Click 'Report this ad'.

  3. Select the appropriate option from the 'Reason for reporting this ad' items to tell us why you're reporting the ad.


  • You agree that we can download and install service updates to your device.



Additional Rights Held by the Company

  • If you select a screen name or similar identifier for your account, we may change it if we deem it appropriate or necessary (e.g., if it infringes on someone else's intellectual property rights or impersonates another user).


  • If you use content that is subject to the intellectual property rights owned by us and used in our service (e.g., images, designs, videos, or sounds provided by us added to content you create or share), we retain all rights to such content but do not claim rights to your unique content.


  • You may use our intellectual property rights and trademarks or similar marks only if you have received explicit permission through our brand guidelines or prior written permission.


  • You must obtain our written permission or permission under open-source licenses to modify our source code, create derivative works of our source code, or attempt to reverse-Compiling or extract the source code.


Content Deletion and Account Deactivation or Deletion

  • If we determine that the content or information you share on the service violates these Terms of Use, our policies (including AngkorFeed Community Guidelines), or is required to be deleted by law, we can delete it. We may immediately suspend or refuse to provide all or part of the service to you (including termination or deactivation of access to Union Mobile products and services) if necessary to protect our community or service, if you pose a risk or legal problem to us, if you violate these Terms or our policies (including AngkorFeed Community Guidelines), if you repeatedly infringe on someone else's intellectual property rights, or if allowed or required by law. We may terminate or modify the service, delete or block content shared on the service, or suspend the provision of all or part of the service if we reasonably believe it is necessary to avoid or reduce adverse legal or regulatory impacts on us. If you believe your account has been terminated in error, please contact our customer center. The deletion process for content or an account will automatically start within 30 days of the request. Deleting content may take up to 90 days after the deletion process begins. During this deletion process, content will not be displayed to users but will still be subject to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. It may take up to an additional 90 days to delete content from backup and disaster recovery systems.

  • Content will not be deleted within 90 days after account deletion or the start of the content deletion process in the following cases:


    • If someone else has used the content under this license and has not yet deleted it (in which case the license remains in effect until the content is deleted), or

    • Due to technical limitations in our systems, if deletion within 90 days is not possible (and in such cases, we will delete the content as soon as it becomes technically feasible), or

    • If immediate deletion may limit our actions, such as:

      • Investigating or clarifying illegal activities or suspected violations of our Terms or policies (e.g., investigating or clarifying misuse of our products or systems)

      • Protecting the safety and security of our products, systems, and users

      • Preserving evidence or complying with legal obligations

      • Complying with requests from judicial or administrative authorities, law enforcement agencies, or government agencies

    • In such cases, content will be retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose of content retention. (The exact period varies by case)

    • If there was no request from the user to delete the content

  • If you delete your account, these Terms are terminated, just like your contract with us, but the provisions of this section and the following section ('In case of disagreement') still apply after the account is deleted or deactivated.


In Case of Disagreement with Contractual Terms with Our Company

  • Your use of media through the service is also subject to our Media Guidelines, and if you use certain specific features or related services, you will have the opportunity to agree to additional terms, which form part of the agreement between you and us. For example, if you use the payment feature, you must agree to the AngkorPay Terms. If additional terms conflict with this contract, the additional terms will take precedence.

  • If a part of this contract becomes unenforceable, the rest will continue to be effective.

  • Changes or waivers to this contract are only possible in writing, signed by us. Our failure to enforce a part of this contract does not constitute a waiver.

  • We reserve all rights not explicitly granted to you.


Rights Holders Under This Agreement

  • This contract does not grant rights to third parties.

  • You cannot transfer your rights or obligations under this contract to others without our consent.

  • Our rights and obligations can be transferred to others. This can happen, for example, due to a change in ownership of our company through mergers or asset sales, or as required by law.


Responsible Parties in Emergencies

  • Our services are provided 'as is', and we cannot guarantee that our services will be safe and secure or operate perfectly at all times. Within the limits permitted by law, we also do not make any implicit guarantees, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, authority, and non-infringement.

  • We also do not take responsibility for people's actions or words, whether online or offline, or for content (including illegal or harmful content). We are not responsible for services and features provided by other people or companies, even if you access them through our service.

  • Our liability for all issues arising from the service is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We cannot know all possible impacts that service issues may have. You agree that we are not responsible for any loss of profits, revenues, information, or data, or for consequential, special, indirect, exemplary, punitive, or incidental damages arising from or related to these terms, regardless of whether we were aware of the possibility of such damages. This includes cases where we delete your content, information, or account.

  • However, despite these provisions, our liability limitations or exemptions according to these regulations may not be permitted under relevant laws. In such cases, we will be responsible within the scope defined by those laws.


Dispute Resolution

These terms of service are based on Cambodian law for their establishment, effectiveness, and interpretation. Furthermore, any disputes arising from or related to our services (including content and advertisements) between us and customers will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local Cambodian courts as the court of first instance.


Amendment of Terms

We may change AngkorFeed services and policies, and need to amend these terms to accurately reflect changes in AngkorFeed services and policies. Unless legally required otherwise, we will inform you before making changes to these terms and provide you with at least 30 days to review them before they take effect. If you continue using AngkorFeed services after the date of effect, you will be subject to the amended terms. If you do not agree to these terms or the amended terms, you can delete your account through [Home]>[More]>[Settings]>[AngkorFeed]>[Delete].
